Your sense of judgement and fairness reflect your level of piety!

The unity amongst the frontiers of Islam is currently a mirage and every Muslim is a victim of the weakness of our disunity. Judging from our history and the blessed writings of our scholars, Muslims cannot be truly united except on the pristine Islamic principles built on sound belief and doctrinal system - Aqeedah!

Are we sincerely sure this current disunity is only as a result of differences in Aqeedah? I think my answer will be NO! In my opinion, it's more of "Extremism", "Ignorance" and "Injustice" amongst Muslims.

On extremism ...
Some people are more committed to partisanship than Islam. They go to the extreme to castigate and condemn everybody - except people from their caucus. Some even differentiate between "Unity" and "Cooperation". They claim to align with mainstream scholars that Muslims can cooperate with anybody (Muslim or non-muslim) on something good - but fail to provide an opportunity for such cooperation. They close any opportunity to bring about cooperation and discourage their followers from doing so as well. If you agree that it is allowed to cooperate on good and righteous deeds, create the avenue for it. Do not say it theoretically and then put unfounded and unrealistic conditions to make it unachievable! If you think "unity" is too far, let's cooperate at least.

On ignorance ...
The basis of association and dissociation are not even known to many Muslims. We divide and create enmity on every single issue even if jurisprudential inferences are allowed or genuine differences of opinion exist amongst reputable scholars on it. We brand people as deviant and misguided for deliberately picking an opinion they think, to the best of their knowledge, is correct. Ignorance cannot be cured with hatred and arrogance which are exhibited openly against each other! We need to learn and apply the limit in this area in the interest of Muslims.

On injustice ...
How else can we explain the following scenarios if not injustice?

#IVC, ITP, ATF are innovations, in fact it is the way of the Khawaarij, but KBC is not!

#AqsahDay is innovation because it's organized annually but the annual conferences, symposia, lectures the people you are sympathetic with organized are not!

#1Verse7Days is innovation and mockery of the Qur'an while daily Quranic and hadith apps you have and share with people are not!

#TMC, MSS, OTM and other Islamic organizations are "Elegbe" (derogatory name used to describe Muslims affiliated with societies) while your assemblies are not!

#Shaykh Madkhalee with his extreme positions on organizations and individuals is a respected scholar with shortcomings while Shaykh Qaradawee is "misguided" and you "hardly ever consider his position on any matters​ of the deen". You are so quick to tell everybody about the errors of the later but hide the errors of the former as much as you can!

It is even more worrisome when more knowledgeable fellows​ issue some form of disclaimer to discourage this injustice but the perpetrators deliberately continue the character assasination. Some scholars avoid the difficult conversation and indirectly fuel the arrogance of overzealous youth.  Yes, I know it is impossible for everybody to comment on all issues but clarifying one or two will repose confidence in the oppressed and also caution the perpetrators of the injustice. Unfortunately, your silence is taken for approval of the injustice by both the victims and the perpetrators.

We have a long way to go as an ummah to reposition ourself but our affairs will be more difficult and complicated if we deliberately or unconsciously allow extremism, ignorance and injustice to thrive amongst us.

Reflect on this statement of Shaykh Ali Hassan Al-Halabee below:

"... The meaning of this is also reported elsewhere from the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) and shows that disunity and disagreement is bound to occur and he (Peace and blessings be upon him) used to warn his Nation so that those who wished to remain safe from it could be saved from it. As an-Nazzaal Ibn Sabrah reports from Abdullah Ibn Mas'ood who said "I heard a man recite an aayah different to the way in which I had heard the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) recite it. So I took hold of his hand and went with him to the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) and I mentioned that to him, so I detected displeasure in his face and he said 'Both of you are doing good and do not differ because those before you differed and so were destroyed' Reported by Bukharee.

And know that most of the differences between the Ummah which lead to innovation are of this kind. Both of those who disagree are correct in what they affirm, or in part of it, and incorrect in denying what the other holds. And this differing which is condemned for both sides is sometimes due to defective intention, due to injustice or envy or wishing for pre-eminence in the land etc. So due to that he likes to condemn the sayings and actions of others, or to get the better of him, to gain distinction over him, or he loves the saying of those who agree with him in ancestry or are of the same madhhab or land, or is a personal friend etc. Since establishment of his saying entails honour and leadership for him, and how common this is among the children of Aadam and this is injustice."
