Majority of people wonder why Islam and Muslims are so popular in the world today. There's hardly no news headline without Muslims and Islam being mentioned, most of the time, negatively. The popularity has won for the Muslims, enemies and friends depending on individual perspective but undoubtedly, Islam is the fasted growing religion in the world.

Why are Muslims and Islam the target? Some people erroneously claimed that the scriptures of Islam (Qur'an and Sunnah) encourage terrorism and as a result all Muslims have the tendency to become a terrorist. Some even malign the character of the best of all mankind, Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him) to frustrate and incite his followers by accusing him of pedophilia, call him the anti-christ and a flirt; I seek refuge with Allah from these filthy words! Each of the accusations above and others not mentioned can be conviniently debunked but that's not the scope of this post.

This post is to address the fundamental reason why Islam is at the focal point of attack from all corners ... Clash of civilizations!

The world powers are pushing the world towards a godless materialistic global village. Where nobody will refer to any scripture as a basis of life and guidance. They are directing the affairs of man towards atheism where everybody is 'politically correct' and 'relativism' will be the order of the day. This is gradually becoming the ideology in vogue! How often do you hear '2 consenting adults agreed to sleep together, hence it's not wrong', 'don't look at it from the spiritual angle' ... We have been brainwashed! Everybody seem to be following the new trend except the Muslims.

Islam is a religion premised on Qur'an and Sunnah. While other abrahamic religions are gradually drifting away from their scriptures into secularism and materialism, Muslims still stick to the basis. Islam a very comprehensive framework for all spheres of life with well documented history of where and when it had been implemented. The only competition to godlessness in vogue is Islam and Muslims! Islam has a clear cut principles to guide the belief system, spirituality, economy, politics, culture, criminal code and justice and others! This is a serious threat to the world power and they need to crush it before it crushes them! Fortunately, God Himself said about 1,400 years ago that He has perfected.

Imagine when Ponzi schemes were introduced and scientific advancement moved into cloning, there is no single ideology in the world that felt the need to discuss and come up with a consensus opinion as regards topical contemporary issues except Islam. This is possible with the universal principles derived from our scriptures. They are not bound by time and people, it's a universal message of God for all generation and mankind in general. May God continue to bless Islam and Muslims, particularly those who uphold the legacy of the seal of Prophethood in line with the understanding of our early predecessors to defend our intellect from stereotype of the  enemy of truth.

They make several effort to brainwash people and divert their attention towards godlessness and atheism. They manipulate the media and accuse the religion of Islam for the errors of some minority Muslims but use a different scale for non-Muslims. They evade our countries with flimsy excuses and kill us. They turn our mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and children into refugees seeking asylum and then close their borders against them. They also make effort to adulterate our doctrines to attack the religion ideologically from within! Despite the fight against Islam and Muslims, we continue to grow.

Oh Muslims! Be steadfast and be patient! Remember the narration related from the Prophet Muhammad that nobody can benefit anybody with anything except what has been decreed and nobody can cause harm to anybody except that it has also been decreed. Rely on Him and He promised to ease your affairs!
